Didn't make it for a brunch today. No reason as there is no real news coming out of practice. Only rumors, so I thought I would share what I have.
My take is that the lack of news coming out of practice is not the submarine at work. Its how you would comment on this:
They had a scrimmage yesterday and when I hear something, I will pass it along.
Until then: Here is the practice rumor mill:
I have yet to hear a single comment that has altered my prediction of doom for MSU 2020.

Until then: Here is the practice rumor mill:
- 3 quarterbacks are repping still.
- Theo Day is impressing physically, a big athlete. However, the game isn't slowing down yet. Described as "foggy". Light <> on
- Payton Thorne is viewed as the "future". But no snaps in a game. Since they haven't practiced till two weeks ago, he has zero footprint in offense.
- Rocky Raccoon - "improved". "Still has a long way to go to be a winning quarterback in the B1G". We all know what we have there. Would he start for a directional Michigan team?
- Socal4mich's take: No news is not good news. If someone was standing out, it would be blasted all over the internet. I am assuming Rocky takes the field vs. Rutgers. Good luck with that!!
- Defensive backfield
- Lots of bodies there who have taken snaps. Who is good? Barnett is a full time CB and am assuming he gets the nod,
- Kaylon Gervin is their other highly ranked recruit. He got toasted during snaps last year, but he was young. Can he step up? I don't see him starting.
- Shaq Brown is one other guy who has gotten snaps. Since I have no idea that he did, he hasn't stood out. Time to step up Shaq
- Safeties have the most experience on their defensive roster. Pearson(5'10" 180), Henderson and Dowell are returning. Since they were bad last year, is that a good thing?
- OL - Good news: lots of bodies returning. Bad news: they ranked 12th last year in PFF rankings in the B1G.
- OT: precarious and thin is being kind. Jordan Reid, 3 year starter has opted out.
- Kevin Jarvis has played tackle but is a guard playing tackle. Hasn't been able to to stay healthy.
- AJ Arcuri: Probable LT. Functional is the only way to describe him. And is a guard.
- Spencer Brown has been mentioned. He is the closest in geometry to being a tackle on the roster. He wasn't close to the field last year and is a project. He is projected as backup OT. Good luck with that.
- Players who have been busts thus far (and continue to be): DeVontae Dobbs, Mustafa Khalifa: Won't be on 2 deep and if they are
- OG/C:: Whole team are guards. They have plenty. Some will play a bit. None will get drafted.
- Socal4mich's take: If every every player is a guard, and really not great ones at that, does that work in the B1G.
- OT: precarious and thin is being kind. Jordan Reid, 3 year starter has opted out.
- Running Back
- Connor Heyward - Looks like he is the backup. If you think that is good news, please post why. He quit, transfer portaled, got fat, Covid hit, went on diet, came back to team. He was bad when he was in shape.
- Elijah Collings - one of the top 2 players on the roster.
- Other guys - if Connor Heywood is getting mentioned in front of them, then that is all I needed to hear
