on Saturday at the gym. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and while at the gym on Saturday morning I noticed this huge guy in all Nike Michigan gear. I went up to him and said "Go Blue" and he responded the same and that was when I asked him if he played and when. I loved that fact that he was still rocking the old MI Nike gear.
Very nice guy. He played from 2002 - 2006. Nothing really earth shattering but it was kind of neat to hear about some of his old teammates and guys he stays in touch with. Mentioned David Harris and Jake Long (who I believe he roomed with) by name and says that they try and stay in touch as much as possible. Sounded very proud of the guys who made it to the league and for the guys who "got paid." It really is remarkable how big he is. When he shook my hand it just engulfed mine.
Last note. I asked him where he works and he said for Miller/Coors. He then said that he didn't think that anything could be much better then football but he was wrong. Beer is better!
