That it’s not the worst thing to not be playing tomorrow?
The ending still feels like a gut punch, I hate losing to that team, and you ALWAYS want to see your boys win and play on. BUT, between Eli and Livers getting hurt, my stomach dropped when both Hunter and B Johns went off the floor looking injured. Obviously they are both fine but it’s not the most horrible scenario to let these kids rest, heal up, and come out hungry next weekend.
Hopefully they learned some things today too. I thought Johns gave some great minutes and we will be able to run some offense through him at times. The perimeter guys of course need to step up offensively though. Hopefully it is just a bad shooting game all around, those happen. But when the shots aren’t falling this team has that ability to go inside to Dickinson and or even Johns to get to the foul line. But, I would like to see Franz do that more too. He is great at slashing to the basket but he often times is fading away or out of bounds. Go hard to the hoop and get to the line. Or back your man down into the paint.
Either way, proud of the effort and the fight when they could’ve cashed it in. Here’s hoping it can be a net positive going into the tourney.
