demeanor struck anyone as happier, more content? I have been an ardent Harbaugh critic - principally on the issue of his (what I perceived) disengagement, but he seems (maybe it's too strong or wishful thinking) actually more engaged.

I think these young hires have added some fun to the equation for JH. And, I do think that will be reflected in his sideline demeanor and in his fire.

For the first time since JH's been here, I have confidence across the board that the players on this roster will be coached "up." We've had plenty of talent before but either schematically or just through program apathy, we've done little with it. I think we have good, not great, talent but that we will see improved play as the norm, not the exception.

I am looking forward to this season far more than I thought I would be in early summer. 7-5 is realistic and that's ok with me, because I think the trend will be positive. That's good.
