While we’re still trying to figure out if Dusty May ever sleeps, he’s still working any angle he can to gain knowledge on the Michigan program and gain support moving forward.
We are told that May recently hosted a Zoom call with approximately 60-70 former players to get a lay of the land and to have general discussions about the direction the program was headed.
Notably, Mike Boynton Jr. was on the call as well, which is a good sign about where the hire is headed.
Also, when asked if he plans to bring any FAU staff members with him, he mentioned Kyle Church and KT Harrell but didn’t mention any specific roles for both. Church was an assistant and Harrell was Director of Basketball Ops.
I will do more digging and see if I can find out anything else.
UPDATE:
Another very interesting note, Jon Sanderson was on the call but didn’t speak. Was told that he is not coming back to the program.
Player spoke spanned decades.
Was told no Fab Five members were on the call (shocker).
