So a OSU fan on X posted a comment claiming that if Michigan and OSU played all 12 weeks in the 2025 season that OSU would win at least 10 of the 12 and says OSU is light years ahead of Michigan in football. This made me think after 4 straight years of losses how in the world could they think this? I mean I get that they still want to claim "CHEATING" and "THE GAME DOESNT MATTER ANYMORE". So what did I do I broke down each position group the way I see it and came to the conclusion that based on returning roster etc the win loss might actually be the exact opposite of what this fan claims. Below is what I came up with, so let me know your thoughts and where you guys think im correct or just way to over confident and being to big of a "homer" lol.
Offense
QB - Edge to Michigan in both experience with Keene and unknown recruit with underwood
RB - Michigan Haynes already has proven ability and Marshall looked like a top tier back against Bama, OSU has a solid RB transfer from a mid school and a bunch of unknowns really
OL - even right now, Michigan was only ok last year but returns most of the line, OSU will be replacing multiple starters so will have to see how this one plays out but over the past 4 seasons Michigan has had the upper hand overall
TE - Push, Klare is the best and most proven of them all but Michigan has a better room in my opinion
WR - do I even need to answer this one? clearly OSU
Defense
DT - clearly Michigan in starting caliber and in depth
Edge - same story as DT
LB - Michigan especially depth wise, returns their top 4 LBs from last year (although looks like Hood is out with injury) and both Hausman and Barham played fantastic down the stretch after getting used to the new system, while OSU will be only returning 1 of their starters.
CB - edge to OSU for now if Igbinosun can keep the penalties down that is but they are replacing a solid multi-year starter on the other side.
S - might sound crazy but I say a push, Downs is hands down the best S in the country no arguing that but Michigan has an absolutely loaded room room especially if Rod Moore is back.
Special Teams
All around - Michigan!
Coaching
Head Coach - at least in terms of THE GAME edge goes to Michigan and no one can even argue that.
OC - Edge to Michigan with the fact that Lindsey has actually coordinated and produced at a high level before and Hartline just doesn't have the experience yet.
DC - Wink clears Patricia whether its now in college or before in the pros there was a reason Patricia was never a DC again after leaving NE (and I am a pats fan lol).
