*** Rising 2022 Brookline (Mass.) Dexter offensive lineman Sullivan Weidman made his way from New England to Ann Arbor to check out Michigan on a self-guided tour. Weidman was an early offer for the Wolverines, and he has been extremely high on U-M for several months. I went ahead and put in an early FutureCast for Weidman to land at Michigan. I strongly believe U-M can land him if it wants to.
*** So are the Wolverines pushing for Weidman? It's tough to answer whether Weidman is a take at this time or not. The staff has been in communication with him throughout the dead period, and obviously the Wolverines have taken chances on guys from New England in the past. On top of that, Weidman felt comfortable enough about his status with the Wolverines that he made the trip to campus.
*** With all of this said, I believe Weidman is a guy that the Wolverines would like to further evaluate before accepting a commitment. At least that's what I was able to gather from checking in with sources today. Now, I'm not saying Weidman won't be a take or that he won't make a decision soon. But I do believe there will be some discussion about it.
