After a comprehensive search that I wanted to get right, I want to introduce the newest member of the M&BR family.
Seth Berry!
Seth comes to us from Maize & Brew on SB Nation where he would post recruiting updates and roundups on my old stomping grounds. I keep a list of rising stars in case there are opportunities to bring someone in and Seth topped that list.
Seth is a career journalist that got his start at Western Michigan. He is going to bring professional coverage to this beat and I couldn’t be more happy that he’s with us.
As he gets his feet wet, Brandon and I will be working with him closely and guiding him over the next few weeks. The timing isn’t great but I am confident he will hit the ground running.
This also means some changes with our recruiting department, too. Brandon and I will be expanding our coverage, with Brandon being a “liaison” of sorts with the Detroit area schools and I will be providing more coverage beyond the intel I have been posting. Davis, who typically focuses on basketball, will also help out in the South as needed.
Ultimately, Seth is going to be “the guy” for us and we will help bring him along.
