Taylor transferred from Newton High School to Grayson before his senior year. He had 191 carries for 930 yards and 14 touchdowns, according to Gwinnett Prep Sports, and 19 receptions for 296 yards and four touchdowns as Grayson (14-1) won a Class AAAAAAA state title. Taylor is the No. 58 running back and No. 889 player overall in the 2017 class.

I coached in the area where he originally came from which is Covington, Georgia. There are two high schools in Covington and their programs are terrible. He transferred to Grayson because it is a 7A powerhouse and I mean a powerhouse. They would put 40 on Cass Tech and probably not give up more than 14. Ther are loaded year in and out with 3,4,5 star players and play in the toughest 7A division in the state. He has to be a good player and high school football in Georgia is phenomenal from 1A to 7A. Kurt was not offered by Georgia or Georgia Tech. Tech is very difficult to get into and UGA gets the top picks from Georgia but there are plenty of star athletes left over believe me. The only SEC school that offered him was Mississippi State. Kurt is very short for a RB but he is very powerful. He did not receive hardly any what I call big time offers but maybe Harbaugh saw something in him the others did not. Time will tell.

Big questions whether he sticks in this class.
