Obviously today, there's very much a change to more athletic, positionless basketball with the emphasis on 2 types of shots: 3 pointers and finishing at the rim. I saw a name that we all know, who had an ok career at Michigan, but may have just been a couple years before when he might have excelled a bit more. And that's Chris Hunter. 6'10" 230 range. Was never a high volume 3 point guy, but showed the aptitude to do it. Maybe some remember him better than I do, but I just think in today's game, he would probably have a few more opportunities to excel.
I picked pre-Beilein because I feel that marks a pretty good point when outside shooting, higher efficient shots, and smaller, switchable power forwards and centers became a staple of the modern game
I think clearly, some of our best shooters, the Glen Rice and Lou Bullock's would be absolute beasts. I think Lavell Blanchard was another guy who just missed the moment.
Anyone else you can think of? Go back as far as you like.
