Most Likely -> TE/WR. A lot (not all) of the drops have been from the young guys. You hope that most of it has been nerves and lack of concentration As they settle in, you hope they settle down. Yes Eric All, that means you
Next most likely-> CB. Contrary to what’s been written here, both Gray and Green have generally done a good job of running with their man on deep routes. They’ve just been unable to locate the ball. That’s all about technique and confidence and I hope we see it emerge with more reps
Not so likely ->Pass Rush. With Aiden down it’s not clear how jobs get shuffled. If Kwity moves to Anchor, the pass rush is in deep trouble. If Luigi or another WDE steps in, I expect scramble yardage to pile up against us
Unlikely ->Run blocking. It’s just a numbers game now. Since we are now shuffling first start ever types at four OL spots. We’ll never see favorable numbers in the box again. Defenses will force Joe to throw long and outside
My bottom line. I foresee improvement on both sides of the ball, but I also see persistent problems on both sides. We’re probably going to throw it downfield more than we want to and take our chances the we can hit enough to back defenses off a bit. We’ll probably get torched a bit less often. Not enough to guarantee a winning season, but not enough to eliminate the possibility entirely
