we hire coaches that the other top 10 schools wouldn’t consider hiring. We seem to hire a lot (not all of course) of second tier coaches, that are unproven in college or unproven in thier specific coaching assignment (OC, DC, RB, etc). As we’ve seen many times, pro experience doesn’t always translate to college success just as college head coaching success rarely translates to NFL head coaching success. It appears Michigan as a destination is not a desirable for elite coaches. A little depressing.
