Shortly after Saturday’s game, Michigan quarterback Joe Milton was asked for his thoughts on the performance of MSU senior linebacker Antjuan Simmons. Milton asked the reporter who Simmons was.
The answer:
“I don’t know what those guys do over there,” Simmons said. “But we study our opponent.
“We know who we’re playing against.”
This is not knocking Milton, this is 100% coaching. WTF!? We don't know who the other teams best defensive player is by name? You mean the guy that took our lunch money all day long and almost picked off that dumbass wildcat pass.
I like so much about Harbaugh. He brings so much good. He cares about his kids, runs a program with high levels of integrity and truly pushes his players to value a great education. He's a good man but this stuff is coaching malpractice and it all starts and ends with him.
How can you be that unprepared for a rivalry game.? Just for the benefit of the doubt, maybe Milton knows his number but not his name, but still, come on. I don't even know how to process this and I thought I was starting to turn the corner just a little from Saturday night.
