Great interview!!!

Ryan is spot on with his analysis!

SUMMARY:

Outplayed, Outcoached, and Outphysicalled

Defensive backs, defensive line, offensive line all had major issues due to COACHING...both resulting from poor technique and scheme issues

Defensive Backs - Bad man-to-man coverage technique - they were flat footed in off-coverage, no jamming in press-coverage, with no adjustments to technique during the game
Defensive Line - No sacks; No TFLs (one-half TFL was by a LB), no pressure, couldn't get off any double teams the entire game
Offensive Line - got beat by basic twists and pressures; couldn't handle basic stunts; missed assignments all over the place; no adjustments by the line in their pass-offs of stunts
Quarterback - doesn't blame Milton, although certainly room for improvement; had happy feet because of the offensive line issues
Wide Receivers - didn't get open enough, for whatever reason
Red Zone: wildcat issues by Gattis were way too cute; red zone offense was just "stupid"

Says we can fix things, but not sure if we will fix things as this continues to happen, year-after-year. Happened before, will happen again, as we continue to put kids on islands defensively.

Can't turn a blind eye to our record vs. rivals, record vs. ranked opponents, record in big games; as a former player / alum, it's not good enough

Rest of year - the only thing that matters is Ohio State game
