The Natty has brought me a lot of peace (and euphoria), but let's be honest unfortunately this team is heading for a big falloff next year...

I'm not as optimistic as a lot of people seem to be on Moore. Of course former players are going to say 'search no more' and 'hes the right guy's but that's because they loved him. I'm sure he is an amazing person (as was demonstrated by his love for Harbaugh after Ohio). As for continuing the family culture, that works because they're winning...they've won the big 10 and made the playoffs 3 years in a row. Trust me if they were 8-4 no one would give a shit about the family culture. And the fact that Sherrone managed the clock and timeouts for a couple games after Harbaugh game planned all week, doesn't convince me.

The bottom line is that the Offensive and Defensive masterminds of this team will be gone. 5 star QBs have been attracted to Michigan bc of Harbaugh. That's now gone.
The annual charades with the NFL the last few years has hurt recruiting and the cupboard is not as stocked as it should be given our recent success. We've also missed out on the portal ...the one quick way to fill in the pieces. Our rivals have NOT missed out on this opportunity.

Heading in to our toughest schedule maybe ever, we've lost a ton of key talent without players ready to fill the void. We haven't recruited well (or as well as we should have), we're behind in the NIL game (we will catch up) but we have not replaced the key departures (again, probably a result of the coaching uncertainty). Plus, we might even lose players and recruits to the portal. And if waiting to see how we look on the field for our new staff is the barometer for next year's recruits, that might not show well. Plus we have no OC or DC yet .

So although Moore might have been the right choice if this happened last year and we had Minter and all the key pieces to the team returning...and we wanted someone to keep it rolling, then Moore probably would have been the best guy.

However, given all of the above and the brutal schedule and Ohio buying an all-star team, I think Moore is set up to look way over his head.

I'm at peace with it all, and I would have traded this years Natty for an 0-12 season next year.

BUT a big name star coach might be the route we ultimately have to go with.
