Brady Hoke may not know how to develop talent or develop game plans or hire quality staff or make game time adjustments, etc.

All those criticisms aside...Harbaugh has a roster of upperclassmen. Even Harbaugh recognized that awhile back about Hoke not leaving a bare cupboard of players.

UM has a senior level roster now. It may not be perfect but wasn't like when RR left UM. In fact...since Harbaugh and staff can develop talent...this roster may even be better in certain spots when Carr left UM.

Look at the DL, corners, safeties and other spots. Hoke didn't do too bad in the scheme of things. I guess his overall recruiting outside of certain spots actually paid for some of that salary.

So here is an appreciation thread to coach Hoke for keeping most of the guys on the roster and setting UM and Harbaugh for a quick turnaround. :)

This is my glass half full (maybe 3/4) appreciation of coach Hoke. I didn't say I wanted him back at UM.

Hoke's "Strength and Conditioning" program was the worst I've ever seen at Michigan. Huge improvement this last season, and we'll see even more of the positive results of the improvements this coming season.
I enjoyed his radio show once. That's as far as I can go.

somehow recruiting and coaching the talent is the responsibility of and HC. You can't be half pregnant, you can't be half a coach.

damn, it it too fast. Hoke did not believe in quarterback recruiting, either. That's why UM had to find a 5th year senior to bail everyone's ass out of the fire.

That's true. Rudock really bailed this program out along with the coaches and effort of the players.

Saw he's in line for the Oregon DC job, might be a great fit for him. Good luck.
