Beilein has had Michigan as an elite program for years, really starting with the Big Ten championship in 2012. Runner up in 2013, Big Ten outright championship in 2014 (by 3 games) and Elite 8.
These last few years (Sweet 16, Runner Up, this year) are what I call overdrive.
He’s recruiting his type of players, but able to get more of the bigger time recruits that he’s always targeted but hasn’t always landed (for a number of reasons, out of his control). They’re replacing guys leaving for draft or graduating with other great players. Guys who were young role players one year step up the next.
Let’s enjoy this season. Lots of big games to come, including Saturday.
This program is on really solid footing. Go Blue!
