Either Jim needs to turn around the energy and competitiveness of this team or he needs to go
Clearly, No change is being made until the end of the season barring some spectacular lapse of moral or ethical judgement That will not happen with Jim Harbaugh.
I recall the joy and celebration on this board when Lloyd stepped down 13 years ago. People were jubilant that finally we could get a coach who would run a modern offense, finally we could get someone who was not mediocre!!! Lloyd is on the Michigan coaching Mt Rushmore, deservedly so.
The coaching change process is dangerous. There are more ways to get it wrong than to get it right. I think the RR / Hoke experiences showed us that. Each coach was celebrated when hired. Then later...
Its not that easy to replace a coach. Its harder to replace a guy who has the 10th best W/L record in college football during his first 5 years. This is not plug and play.
I would strongly prefer that Jim turns this team around to be a 4-4 team just to salvage something, keep the recruiting class, live to fight another day
