The only fear I have for Dusty May and his upcoming era at Michigan is that he will be so good, that he will "Brad Stevens" Michigan for an NBA job.

I'm pretty excited for this season's team, even though it is seemingly a thrown together team of Frankenstein parts...

Upon further speculation, it seems that there's a definite plan, and the team we see in front of us, fits it perfectly.

One player from FIU, Vlad Goldin is a legit interior big, athletic shot blocker and defender, another Danny Wolf, is a giant from Yale with an amazingly adept perimeter game, complete with great passing skills. Top sharpshooter Sam Walters is a loooong 6'10" , 200lb SF who could develop into more than just a shooter.

Rubin Jones could either start or be the guy he was described as being: Another Chaundee Brown. Leadership, defense, scoring, rebound, whatever you need...This is why I would love to see us land McKinney for this exact role...and we're leading supposedly, another reason for optimism.

Sleeper IMO is Roddy Gayle...I was stunned to find out that the driving force from OSU that barged his was to 13.5 PPG in the B1G last season couldn't shoot, not because of not being capable, but due to having an injured shooting hand (or wrist) last season. For a better reason to feel that his shooting may emerge, he shot 43% from 3 (on 49 shots) as a true freshman.

He's a returning B1G scorer, with hopefully a returning perimeter touch at full health.

Excited to see the blur of guards that seems to be May's signature. Donaldson, Burnett, and true freshman Cason, will mix in with Gayle and probably one (maybe both) of the other two freshmen Phat Phat Brooks and Justin Pippen. I wouldn't be surprised considering the number of guards Dust plays.

I'm looking forward to seeing this team in action. I wouldn't be surprised to see some clunkiness at first and some real success as the season goes on as far as offense, and a consistently good defensive effort- Bigger bigs, bigger guards.
