Theory on our lack of fumbles created on defense.

I think the main reason we don’t force more fumbles on defense is we focus more on fundamental tackling rather than trying to strip the ball. For me, i would prefer that we don’t have a lot of missed tackles (i.e. Ohio State last week) that lead to big plays over trying to strip every ball carrier. Now maybe we could have the 3rd and 4th guys that get to the ball try to strip it and that could help the cause, but again I’ll take sure tackling all day long.
