almost completely fizzled away. Very sad if you don't mind the language, because it is/was a great tradition.
I did not attend one game last year but have been to three or four in the last month. Aside from the fact that the band for years now has been instructed to purposely drown out the chants, only about a third, if that of the student section even tries to engage in the chants. I'm sure this is due to the fact it is a futile attempt anyway since it is completely drowned out.
I understand the concern with the cussing (see Buzz Williams), but it's a shame to see such a great tradition almost completely gone. Kind of like the marshmallows at football.
