A few nights ago, I posted on here that I was worried about the pre season hype about Michigan so early on. No doubt, this comes from the numerous amount of let downs by talented Michigan squads over the last 30 years as a fan. I will admit, however, that the game that I just witnessed says that there will not be such a letdown this coming season. This team is talented, deep, and looks like night and day from last year's team at this time. Unless there is a massive amount of injuries, Michigan may well make the playoffs this season.
QB- No doubt that O'Korn and Speight are the leaders here. O'Korn can really manage the offense and his ability to run is awesome. He did not play much except for the first drive and final 2:00 minute drive and he was excellent in both situations. Speight really commanded the pocket and made great decisions as well. O'Korn is my bet to be the starter in September. Morris will be used beyond the QB position and good for him as a competitor. Brandon Peters is PHENOMENAL for a kid that was in high school just 60 days ago. He is the future no doubt. The receivers and TE's are EXCELLENT and that is without Chesson and Darboh. Smith, Johnson and Issac will carry the load of runs but Walker and Kingston Davis look good as well. The OL is massive and physical. The defensive line is deep as well and Devin Bush Jr. is a monster with the way he fills downhill and pursues. He will be playing quite a bit this year. It is going to be hard to run the ball on this team. Harbaugh's second season is going to be the real deal. I don't see any App State's on the horizon and it feels great as a Michigan fan.
