We come out in shotgun with Ben Mason back. The most obvious QB lead ever. Does it bother me that they were in shotgun from the half yard line? No. Does it bother me that it was obvious what they were going to run? No. Then the badgers call timeout. Probably not a bad idea.. we probably had numbers.
Then.... then we come out in the same formation. I’m thinking.. we can’t possibly be daft enough to call the play that they saw pre timeout and adjusted for... right? Maybe we’re going to do something cerebral like fake that play and then pop it out to a tight end.
NOPE. We do what a 10 year old playing Madden against the computer on easy mode knows not to do. We ran what we gave them a read on, and surprise surprise.. it gets stuffed.
