Has me thinking a lot about all of the great running backs that have come through the program in my own personal 47-year memory of being a huge Michigan football fan.

I want to bring back some more obscure Michigan comparisons than the usual Mike Hart or Blake Corum takes. :)

There are more names of great Michigan backs that I rarely read from posters.

For example, somebody posted that Jordan Marshall reminded them of Chris Perry...which was insightful and IMO a very good comparison to a Michigan great who's NOT Mike Hart or now Blake the Great.

I just dropped a Ricky Powers, and we will see some targets/signees that I may compare to Tim Biakabatuka, or the great Ty Wheatly (I know, we were praying that the other "Ty"...Isaac, would be the next Wheatly-esque tall superstar back, but Isaac wasn't near the inside runner Wheatly was).

I'll drop a Jon Vaughn reference...He was a beast. Super fast. Javian Osborne's film reminds me of Vaughn shiftiness. Then I'll remind the fans of Leroy Hoard (who I knew), as my own comparison for Jordan Marshall, who has that "fight for every inch" mentality that Hoard had.

Smaller back comps can be the hard-to bring-down Jamie Morris- Bigger ones, Bob Perryman (an old-school Haskins/Kalel type).

Earlier memories of the three-headed monster of Butch Woolfolk, Larry Ricks, and Stan Edwards. All of these guys were killer backs with different, unique styles.

Lawrence Reid was the man for a couple of seasons.

Before those guys were Russell Davis, and Harlan Huckleby.

Rob Lytle is my earliest RB memory, at age 8.
