The coaches knew Speight gave us a better chance than O'Korn. They saw in practice what we did not.

As Speight kept playing poorly the masses wanted OKorn to replace him, but Harbaugh supposedly stubbornly stayed with Speight. Speight gets hurt, Okorn comes in and underwhelms us, go figure.
It appears that Speight did indeed give us the best chance to win. Now many are also calling for Peters to replace O'Korn, but for some reason, again, Harbaugh stubbornly refuses to let him in. I know the "trust the coaches" gets a lot of bad press around here, but honestly, Harbaugh thinks as of right now, O'Korn gives us the better chance compared to Peters. Harbaugh sees every practice, has played the game at every level. He's probably right again.
