Penn State's DC search had some big time targets at the top, but none of those have panned out.
Franklin appears to be heading into his third tier, plan C candidates. An internal promotion for Anthony Poindexter is still on the table but some interesting names came up today.
Former Michigan DC Don Brown and former Michigan LB coach Anthony Campinelle. Brown seems less likely, but Franklin respects Brown who was most recently UMass head coach.
Campinelle is apparently being seriously considered. He was with the Dolphins for a few years after leaving Michigan, with the Packers last season. Has ties to the area, family has coached all over Jersey.
