Really scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to team info at the moment. Only one padded practice and the team reports back next week. I will compile a “what we’re hearing post” and put it on the top of the boards for you all to see.
Now, here are some smaller things I’ve picked up:
- Karsen Barnhart has been pushing Ryan Hayes at left tackle. As we reported earlier, Trente Jones has been running with the ones at right tackle.
- On Mike Sainristil’s move to DB, despite it being a spring experiment, the belief in his circle is that the best position to get to the league is at defensive back.
- Coaches really admire what Greg Crippen has brought to the offensive line. With Oluwatimi manning the center position, Crippen could be a solid back-up option for the Wolverines. He is expected to be a two, three-year contributor in the future.
