*** Michigan is expecting to host five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei defensive back Domani Jackson for an official visit on Sept. 11 when the Wolverines take on Washington. Jackson has a game in Vegas that Friday night but is slated to arrive Saturday in the early afternoon. Jackson may stay until Monday since the visit starts late. I know many thought Jackson would come in for the Ohio State game, but this is big news, IMO. It shows Jackson has some serious interest and isn't just coming for a free trip.

*** Five-star Michigan cornerback commit Will Johnson is also making his official visit that weekend. Johnson has grown more solid in his commitment to U-M and is recruiting Jackson hard. This class lacks elite talent, and Johnson is doing everything possible to help Michigan land some dudes late, including Jackson. Obviously, Johnson and Jackson have been great friends throughout thee process. Remember, they joined each other for visits and played 7v7 with each other.

*** So does Michigan have a shot? If the Wolverines beat Washington, I think they do. Jackson thought long and hard about picking U-M last year, and his father is a huge fan of thee program. A win over Washington would also allow Jackson to see some recruiting momentum as a number of other top targets are scheduled to be in attendance.
