Recently, Athlon released an All-Big Ten college football 1st-4th team ranking of all positions. Cornelius Johnson made the third-team, but the magazine didn't list Roman Wilson as one of the conferences top 12 receivers. It must be easy to overlook Wilson because of his size (6-0) and lack of gaudy stats. Wilson posted 25 catches for 376 yds and six TD's (two rushing) last year, including his first career 100-receiving game against TCU.

Michigan lost its top two pass catchers last year Ronnie Bell (62) and Luke Schoonmaker (35) to the NFL. With those 97-catches gone, along with the possiblity of UM expanding the passing game in '23, it bodes well for the speedster from Hawaii. With a big year as a reciever and a returner (punts & kicks?) Wilson could vault up NFL draft boards. He's got the speed, Harbaugh said that Wilson was running right with DJ Turner (4.26 ), last year during fall camp.

Michigan hasn't had a wide-out drafted higher than the third round since Braylon Edwards was a first round pick back in 2005. Wilson may not get to the first round, but beefed up stats and a winning team in the limelight, could put him into second round draft territory. Is Jayden Reed (2nd round pick by Packers last year) really that much better of a player than Roman Wilson?
