I really don’t understand why we were so insistent early on running up the gut, especially early. We were not getting anything.
After the MSU score, it’s 10-7, we have a nice drive going, get down towards the 20, Corum run up the gut for 4, Corum run up the gut for 4, Haskins run up the gut for nothing. FG.
All 3 of those runs were very tough, nowhere to go, yet we just went right at it. A defense that was being hit with big pass after big pass, and we let them off the hook with that conservative play calling.
Honestly, on this rewatch, it’s ridiculous that we were only up 13-7, absolutely ridiculous.
