Just some thoughts on recruiting, curious if others thoughts are as bleak as mine.
I hadn’t checked in for a while, just reviewed our recruiting situation and was a bit surprised to see the returns on the new staff are pretty meager. Was hoping some young blood would bring in more talent. Seems the more things change the more they stay the same. I checked on OSU recruiting and noticed they are utterly dominating.
There obviously has to be some underlying problem. Is the consensus that it’s just cheating, academics, or just ineptitude as to why we can’t compete on that front?
Please don’t flame, if I’m off base, just tell me why.
