I was talking football yesterday afternoon with my son (38 years old) who went to Clemson. He was upset about an OL flip from Clemson to Georgia. Later in the evening my youngest (19) comes in from being at his girlfriends house. Her “little” brother is a senior 6’7” OT at Greenville high school and has several offers. This is his first year at tackle after playing TE. He’s in need of about 40-50 pounds, but he’s got the frame to carry it. Anyway, he got offered yesterday afternoon, I am assuming after the flip. He’s visiting Nebraska this weekend, but I guess he will wind up wearing Orange and staying closer to home.
Just thought it interesting that a flip creates angst for fans, but also gives opportunity where none existed before to someone else. I am happy for the chance that he now has.
