HOWEVER, in terms of the immediate future, status quo for now. I was given assurances that my contract was being honored so that means I’m not going anywhere.
I know some are referencing Terry’s tweet about team roles. I was told to look at it from a brand perspective and not necessarily a team site one. Rivals will be synonymous with recruiting and recruiting rankings, that will be under the Rivals brand name. On3 will be synonymous with college-related things like the transfer portal, NIL and analytics.
What does that mean for team sites moving forward? No one has a firm idea what it’s going to look like. There hasn’t been any talk of merging sites or acquiring talent RIGHT NOW. It seems to me that the priority is combining national recruiting staff and portal staff. That’s a good thing, in my opinion, having some sort of combination of both networks national recruiting analysts is a big win for you as a subscriber.
I just don’t have anything definitive on how team sites will co-exist or partner up. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t.
What I do know, with both networks teaming up and all assets available under one umbrella, your subscription dollars are going much further. That’s a lot of bang for your buck.
I will keep you all informed every step of the way with things I can share. We’re staying the course right now and I will work as long as my contract is valid.
I wouldn’t burn anything down just yet, this could be very beneficial from a site perspective. We’ll just have to see.
