Looking at what Michigan staffers said in press conferences yesterday, I doubt that Michigan will be super aggressive in the remaining transfer portal period.
  • The staff sounded fairly confident regarding the wide receiver room, particularly with the idea of Donaven McCulley as a WR1, despite yesterday not offering heaps of promise for fans.
  • The secondary was probably the best position group on the field outside of the defensive line, with dudes like Jeremiah Love stepping up.
  • CJ Hester committed yesterday as well, thus filling the Ben Hall gap in the running back room.
The only position I see Michigan still really looking to upgrade in the transfer portal is left tackle. Sherrone Moore suggested that Andrew Sprague (right tackle), Giovani El-Hadi (left guard), and Greg Crippen (centre) are likely locks to start on the offensive line. Additionally, I anticipate we'll see Nathan Efobi end up starting right guard, as Trevor discussed last month. However, it feels like left tackle is upgradable, especially given that the presumed starter, Evan Link, has been taking snaps at guard throughout spring training.

With the program missing on Joe Cotton (Cincinnati), Tyler McMillan (Illinois), Teon Parks (Colorado), and Julian Neal (Arkansas), I don't have any intel on any current Michigan portal targets, but I anticipate that we'll see some news names come out of the woodwork over the coming days.

Interested to know what you guys think!
