He was at 7-11 in Farmington Hills.
I was getting in my car when he walked out and I thought I recognized him and said "isn't your son honorary captain today?"
He smiled and said "yes, how'd you now?" I told him I met him when I was 15 at the Final Four in Minneapolis.
I told him I was so happy that Chris was coming back to Michigan and I'd be cheering him. He said he would tell Chris that. The way he said it...it seemed like Chris was concerned about how he'd be received and was happy to hear there were people exited to see him back.
When Webber came out it was to great applause and I was glad our fans treated him that way.
