For the record, I am not emotional or even very upset at this moment. That was all used up last week.

Defense: F
Don Brown has no answers. He does not know how to change and adapt when things go bad. The insistence of blitzing your LB's on the inside and leaving the middle of the field wide open is baffling to me. The LB is not getting home, the blitz isn't working. It was said in the game thread earlier, it's like playing D with one less guy on the field.

Dax is a remarkable athlete but there is no way he can do everything on the back end. I really feel sorry for our CB's. They are on an island and they have no help. They're not skilled enough to play the role they are being asked to play. This leads us back to DB and his attitude. He had to know what he had going in. He did nothing to prepare for what the D is going through right now. For all the brilliant coaches we're supposed to have, not one had the brains to say hey, we need a plan to help on the outside?

The D-line has done nothing, No sacs in over two games, giving up yardage up the middle. We look small and way to many times we're out of position. The yards they put on us today...460!

We absolutely look clueless on the D side of the ball.

Offense: C-
I'm sick of the excuses for our run game. Last week we were flat, this week we were hurt. Warriner is not getting it done. We have not been lining up against All Americans. We had 18 yards on the ground today. 18.

The playcalling on offense is becoming as stubborn as the playcalling on D. On second down we just are determined to run into the pile. WE NEED TO HAVE PLAYS FOR OUTSIDE THE HASH. The first play of the year was that little flat pass to Corum, It went for about 20 yards. Almost 3 games later we ran it again and it went for about 20 yards. Why have we not seen it over and over until they stop it? I remember in '97 Greise ran a waggle play to the tight end at least 30 times and it worked every time. Find something that works and use it. Quit going back to the plays that don't work.

The drops keep coming. Every week we see talented players dropping the ball while the other team's guys are making circus catches. It's hard to watch. Joe is only in his third start. He needs help. He's not perfect but when the dang ball is there catch it. Joe needs to quit telegraphing where the ball is going and make the reads.

Special teams:B+
Jackson is going to cost us a turnover down the road. He's just too risky back there. Our punting was great today.

Penalties: We are undisciplined and it shows up in the kind of stupid unforced penalties we have. Offsides is one of the dumbest penalties in FB and we seem to have mastered it.

What Michigan has become really good at is talking. We need steel in our spine, we are accountable, this is a championship-caliber team. What they need to become better at is playing.
