Higdon is the first Michigan running back to eclipse 100 in four straight games since Mike Hart in 2007 (Hart rushed for over 100 in every game he played that season except OSU).
Will Higdon do it again Saturday against Wisconsin? Last week I posted the same poll and 54 Forters said yes and one Forter said no. I have a feeling this week's poll will be more balanced.
On the season he has 582 yards in 5 games (he sat out against SMU), already more than halfway towards his 994-yard season total last year. His 582 is good for 20th nationally despite only playing in 5 games (#1 - Henderson on Memphis - has 934 yards already). 582 is good for 2nd in the Big 10 behind Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor (849).
Higdon is averaging 5.76 yards per carry and 20 carries per game for 116.4 yards per game - good for 13th nationally (mgoblue.com game notes say 9th nationally - they must exclude some players for lack of carries, or something). Taylor is #1 at 169.8 yards per game, AJ Dillon is #5 at 130.4, and Eno Benjamin is #10 at 119.2).
Wisconsin allows 130 yards rushing per game, good for 42nd (MSU is #1 at just 33.8, Michigan is #6 at 96.5 yards per game).
