/ˈdämənənt/ adjective

  1. most important, powerful, or influential.
    "they are now in an even more dominant position in the market"



    Michigan can de dominant or Michigan can dominate. Michigan cannot be dominate.

    I apologize for the grammar lesson, but it drives me crazy how many people get this wrong. And yes I am over 50 years old.
