it's sit back and wait for someone to hit it over the fence. in between there will be a ton of strikeouts, walks, and a lot less balls put in play. Hitters swinging for the fences and pitchers trying to strike everyone out throwing 95 and the defense shifting all the time.
old-time strategy of moving runners, hit-and-run, bunt, manufacture runs, etc. has gone away. many of the changes in the game are based on analytics and are statistically sound, but man it sure makes for a boring product.
