After 8hrs in the ER today, test came back positive. He's a senior in HS and stressed about his grades. He's a 4.0+ student and his dream is to go to UofM. Application is in but no guarantees. Concern is getting deferred or wait listed.
He's been out of school for a week already and Dr. said it could be another 2-3 weeks before he feels "normal" again.
Anyone else have a child with MONO in the past? What was your experience? How long to recover? If Sr. Year grades become an issue for missed school, and college applications, is there anything we can do?
