Yes, the impossible request...
I'm staying in Manhatten for the weekend, near 30th and 6th (Midtown/Chelsea).
Only there for the weekend. I want to see Central Park and WTC memorial, but pretty open to anything else people have enjoyed.
Will stay in Manhattan for the most part. I don't mind taking subways at all, but if things are walkable (I enjoy hoofing it), that's preferable.
Need suggestion on either hole-in-the-way food places and/or any "neat" thing to do (are walking tours good?). Cool bars (favor cocktails over beer, but do either) are needed for night life. I won't even bother asking where the beautiful women hang out. My assumption is they are every where and out of my league
I like most foods, but value quality over ambiance. Would rather find that great small Italian place i can slum in jeans, than wait 2 hours for the "best" restaurant that i have to suit up for. I only have a weekend, so I really don't want to wait to do much to do stuff.
Thanks in advance.
