I'm attending a wedding in Detroit this weekend and staying at the Detroit Foundation Hotel downtown. I grew up in Grosse Pointe and attended UM for undergrad and law school, so I'm generally familiar with Detroit. However, it's been years since I have been downtown.
I know I want to get a Coney dog, so, should I go to National or Lafayette?
Someone recommended the Buhl Bar for cocktails. Any thoughts?
I want to get a good steak, so I was thinking either the London Chop House or the Caucus Club for dinner Friday night. My buddy who I'm meeting Friday night is coming from work, so he will be in jeans and a button-down. Is that a problem for either of these places?
Any other recommendations for the downtown Detroit area?
