With the Tigers needing to make a lot of changes to compete for a title next year, and 3 years and 51 million left on his 68 million dollar deal, for a guy that can just DH, or maybe play 1b on the right team in a 7 game series. It is a lot of money, and in the American League could still draw some value and a lot of interest. You also have to still worry about his health for 3 years.....hmmm
