Our company email was recently the victim of a hack and a spoofing. They managed get into someone's email and convince someone else to send a rather large check to a vendor that didn't exist. We think we've addressed the issue of changing passwords and protecting ourselves for the future, but I'm concerned about the use of the info they might have been able to access.
The email they had access to had sensitive info such as social security numbers, bank accounts and possibly credit cards. Does anybody have any experience with this? Are there any experts or groups you can hire to monitor these accounts going forward?
