to compete/win with against

1. MSU
2. OSU
3. Alabama (Playoff Contenders) throw in above if you want or add ND, etc.

1. I think UM is at the level needed to compete and win against MSU. Not saying it actually happens but I think UM has the necessary talent to compete/win. I did factor that Chesson and Butt are returning.

2. Against OSU. I think UM is somewhat close but OSU is replacing a lot of guys. I still think going forward UM is still another class away plus development/maturity. I think UM gets pretty even level talent going forward but in all honesty I think UM still doesn't have the same level playmakers but expect that to change after 2 years of classes.

Not saying UM can't win but not on a level playing field. Talk to me after the 2017 class and half way through the season.

3. Now...I think UM is 2+ years away. OSU is basically Alabama talent wise but I still believe Alabama is 3 deep at every position. Now...do you need to be 3 deep at every position to win? No but it doesn't hurt. I also believe Alabama gets a level of guy that is higher than you even see right now with this class in most positions. I don't think you need to have the highest rated recruit but to beat Alabama you need lots and lots of upper class talent and UM is probably 3 years away.

Thoughts?

When you look at the B1G I think 2016 is our year. We're bring back a ton of experience. OSU has a ton of key departures and MSU has quite a few key departures as well. The OL performance vs Florida gives me reason to believe we're finally getting where we need to be running the ball which should make for a easier transition for O'Korn. I expect the coaching staff will fill the other key voids (LB, FS, C).

Our goal next year should be making it to Indianapolis, winning the B1G & getting a spot in the playoffs..

I don't think we'll be on Bama's level next year because we won't have the overall depth but if we can score we should be able to play with anyone.

you can only play 11 guys at once (Clemson rarely substitutes) and they play with only one football.
