First of all, he was surprised that I knew who he was. Probably not many do outside of hard core Michigan fans. He was in New York scouting AAU players. I didn't put him on the spot by asking him about specific players. Regarding current players, he mentioned that Iggy and Johns have looked really good so far. Lots of praise for Matthews. Said Teske is going to be something, putting in the work. Also mentioned that Nunez can really shoot the rock.
Reminisced some about the two big wins over MSU. Yak thought that the losses to Purdue really galvanized this team. We are so fortunate to have this coaching staff. I could talk forever about hoops with Yak but he doesn't have forever. Very grateful that he took the time to talk. More people will be recognizing him if we keep D-ing up like we did last season.
