Well he's not my son. He's technically my 18 year old brother in law who I've raised since he was 2. He's no different than my actual kids. We've been going through the process with research and the speaking with the recruiters. We decided on the Navy. He'll be joining the Seabees as an electrician. He's pretty nervous as are we. We're so proud of him. I'm asking 2 things.
1. Can you send him some words of encouragement? He knows we're a tight knit community here and would mean a lot for him to hear.
2. For my military Fort members, provide any advice you think would be helpful. I am getting bits of advice from random people that I run into (set up your 401k, buy a car, etc etc) but it would be nice to get some advice all in one place.
Thank you!
