There is a lot of excitement here about Brandon Peters. Even I got excited by last week.
However, I think that some of you should pump the brakes regarding Brandon Peters
In 2016 Wilton Speight threw for over 2500 yards and 18 TD and was 3rd team all Big Ten QB. I agree that he did not start the season strong, but he was undefeated this year.
3rd string QB Brandon Peters is 10 of 14 for 124 yards and 1 TD AT HOME in the Big House against RUTGERS....RUTGERS and suddenly
The Wilton Speight era is over...LOL
Will Wilton ever start again?
When Brandon Peters gets in against a real Big Ten team: Wisconsin In Camp Randall?, Minnesota? OSU? Its different deal all together.
When he is against a team that can put a LOT of pressure on him how does he react?
When he gets hit HARD and knocked down how will he react?
When the other teams show some complex zone coverages and the game is tight its a different deal all together.
How will he react when we are BEHIND?
I'm happy he is doing well. I'm glad he will get the start against Minnesota., He has earned that.
However if you think that Peters has passed Speight...well?
If you think standing beside a healthy Wilton Speight he is your guy to get the ball against Wisconsin at Camp Randall or against OSU you are intoxicated.
Lets see how he does against Minnesota...I hope he does REALLY well
I am very happy for his success here. I will be cheering for him
AND
I want to win games
