2. how can Michigan fans beat their chests about a team they claim isn’t a real rival? You beat your little brother, right? You’re the biggest, baddest kid on the block and you’re standing over what you consider to be a nobody and looking like an idiot, again.
3. A Michigan team with 18 returning starters beat a team with more roster turnover than any in the country. Great, great guys, it takes 7 years and a wealth of experience to be what you claim to be every year.
4. but here’s the sad part Wolverines: it’s meaningless. You aren’t beating Ohio state, that’s the delusion we’ll hear now for a month, as you run 1000 times against broken down Maryland, Indiana, and a Penn state program in disarray with a lost coach. And then what? Then, again, you fail. In the “game” that’s not even a game anymore.
5. so enjoy this, but, big picture, you see the trajectory of MSU, you see what Mel Tucker is building, the huge recruiting gains (mostly imagined lol), the fact he’s already almost eclipsing you at this point is scary, it’s scary for your program. And, even more so, another year without a title, another year where not a kid in your recruiting class was even alive last time you won anything anyone cared about, and you still can’t find your to Indy. Sorry.
And I’m going to love every second of it because, while this is what he’ll say, he’s going to be sooooooo mad.
