But are sloppy with the ball. I know lots of people love the “wide open” offenses. But there is definitely cost/risk associated with approach and conversely benefits to the Harbaugh offense. Given how good our D is, I actually personally really like our offense this year. Yes, we need better execution, esp when we cross the 50. We need to limit costly penalties. We need to connect on the big plays when we draw the D in and have a chance to exploit their overplay. And there is ALWAYS room to second guess some calls in retrospect. But as long as we continue to gel and execute better - I think our O is a recipe for success.

Possess the ball. Don’t turn the ball over. Beat up the other team so they are vulnerable in Q4. Mix up the formations. Mix up the passes and runs, esp on 1st down. Throw in some QB run. Avoid 3rd and long situations. Set up their team with plays and formations so you have a shot at a couple of relatively high percentage big plays a game. Show new stuff every week so the opposition’s defense has to spend time prepping for it. Still lots more up the sleeve yet to be released. Etc.

Every O has pluses and minuses. Harbaugh is a genius and has a plan. He finally has the horses, esp at QB. If the players just execute, we have a chance to beat anyone.

In Harbaugh I trust. I have always trusted. And hopefully the guys continue to improve and execute better, and Harbaugh is finally acknowledged for what he is and has always been - one of the best fricking coaches in all of football, college or pro.
